Pastor Serena Tyson is a dynamic speaker, singer, and songwriter whose journey began at the tender age of 3. By 12, she was already writing music that would later become a vessel of hope, healing, and restoration. As a proud PK (preacher’s kid), Serena learned early on about the transformative power of God resting on her life. Her music tells stories of triumph through life’s trials and shines as a beacon of hope to all who hear it. Singing under the anointing, Serena’s powerful vocals and melodic tones consistently usher in the presence of God—shifting atmospheres and preparing hearts and minds to receive Him.

Pastor Serena's musical gifting has led her to sing with some of the industry’s finest, including Hezekiah Walker, Lenny Kravitz, Yolanda Adams, and Tamar Braxton. She has opened for Michelle Williams and Chrisette Michele, and worked alongside renowned producer Stanley Brown. Most recently, emerging from the global pandemic, Serena released her inspiring single “Daily Prayer” featuring Chrisette Michele on the National Day of Prayer—a testament to her unwavering faith and voice for this generation.

But Pastor Serena’s influence extends far beyond the stage. For 14 years, she has been a devoted wife to Pastor Joshua Tyson, and together they are raising three amazing children: Ezekiel, Jonah, and Serenity. As a family, they have boldly answered the call of God to plant and lead a life-giving ministry—Made Whole Nation—based in Nassau County, Long Island. Made Whole Nation stands on the belief that “There is Nothing Broken with Jesus at the Center”. This ministry reflects the same passion and authenticity that Pastor Josh and Pastor Serena bring to every facet of life.

Equipped both spiritually and academically, Serena holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership (both School Building and School District Level), which she utilizes in her career within the New York City Department of Education. Her 19-year educational background underscores her commitment to personal growth, servant leadership, and community impact.

As a wife, mother, artist, educator, and co-pastor, Pastor Serena Tyson leads with humility, grace, and divine authority. She is a living example of how God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Her life is a testimony of purpose fulfilled, and her leadership continues to awaken destiny in those around her. God has not only gifted her to lead—He has appointed her for such a time as this.
